I'm a hobbyist.  I'm a recently retired professional (in a field that has absolutely nothing to do with astronomy). I'm interested in astrophotography.  I've been a woodworker for many years.

Some devices can be easily made or a substitute can be easily assembled from readily available hardware.  In those cases, I'll list what you need to know such as thread sizes and measurements.
